Haskell Guardian Services, Inc. was founded by Dawn Haskell in 2023. Dawn has been a guardian, conservator, power of attorney, and trustee for clients in the Mid-Michigan area for 20 plus years. Dawn has a degree in Economics and History from Central Michigan University and has been a resident of Midland County for much of her life. Dawn is a second-generation guardian, working part-time for her mother Virginia on and off during her years as a guardian in Midland County. Prior to a career as a guardian, Dawn worked in the banking industry.
Haskell Guardian Services, Inc. can provide guardian and conservator services for clients through a Michigan Probate Court. We primarily work in the Mid-Michigan area. A guardian and/or conservator is most commonly appointed for someone with a mental or physical illness that prevents them from making informed decisions on their own. A petition goes to a Probate Court to determine competency and if a person is found legally incapacitated, a guardian and/or conservator can be appointed. Haskell Guardian Services does not file the petition for this action to occur, but instead acts as the guardian and/or conservator to ensure the needs of the client are met. A guardian handles medical and housing needs and a conservator handles financial and estate matters.
For people who would not qualify for a guardian or conservator, Haskell Guardian Services can act as a power of attorney (both financial and medical) and as a trustee for a trust. Please feel free to reach out to us to see if we could be a good fit for your needs.
